The limits
What Wash Junkie does not do.
Every software company publishes what its product does. This is the other list. It is here so you find out now, while you are reading a web page, rather than three weeks after you moved your business across.
It does not take your customers' money
Wash Junkie records payments; it does not process them. When a customer pays you — cash at the counter, a transfer, a card on your own terminal — somebody writes down what was paid, how, and against which order. That keeps your revenue reports honest and your customer records complete.
The money never passes through Wash Junkie. We hold none of it, we move none of it, and we take no share of a single wash. If you want a system that settles card payments for you, that is a different product and you should buy one.
There is no application for your customers
Your customers do not sign in to anything. There is no application for them to download, no ordering website that comes with Wash Junkie, and no self-service portal where somebody checks on their own washing. Orders are taken by your team, on your screens.
Your customers can still be told where their order has got to — see the next point — but they are told, they do not look it up.
Customers are texted, not notified in an app
Wash Junkie can send a customer a text message when their order changes status, naming your business and the status in your own words. It is off until you switch it on, it needs a messaging account configured, and replies of STOP are honoured permanently and across every business on the platform.
What does not exist is push. There is no application on anybody’s phone, so there is nothing to push to. Email is used for account matters and for asking a customer to rate a finished order, not as a running commentary.
There is no application for drivers, and no location is recorded
Drivers are managed from the same dashboard everyone else uses. You add them, you assign a pickup or a delivery, and they are marked done when they are done. Nothing is installed on a driver’s phone.
Wash Junkie collects no location data at all — not once, not in the background, not with permission. A driver carries an address, never a coordinate. That means there is no map of where anybody is, no live route to follow, and no GPS trace to hand over to anyone who asks for one, ourselves included. It also means we cannot optimise a route, because we do not know where the van is.
There are no refunds inside the software
If you need to give a customer their money back, you give it back the way you took it, and you correct the payment record afterwards. Wash Junkie has no refund action that reverses a payment, because it never held the payment in the first place.
Wash Junkie holds no security certification
There is no SOC 2 report, no ISO 27001 certificate, and no independent penetration test to show you. Not one of those has been started, and we will not call the software bank-grade or enterprise-grade either — those words mean nothing without a certificate behind them.
There is also no uptime commitment. We do not publish a 99.9% figure or any other, because we have not run long enough to have earned one and a number invented for a marketing page is worse than silence. If a procurement process at your business requires any of this, Wash Junkie will not pass it yet, and we would rather you learn that here.
There is no public API and no integrations
Nothing connects to Wash Junkie from outside. There is no API key to issue, no webhook to subscribe to, and no accounting package, till system or messaging tool it talks to. Your data is yours and every screen exports, but the export is a file you download, not a pipe into another system.
It does not do your accounts
Wash Junkie tells you what you took, per outlet, per service, per day, in the outlet’s own currency. It is not accounting software: no ledger, no tax return, no payroll, no invoicing against a purchase order. What it produces is the revenue picture your accountant asks for, not the thing you file.
This page is maintained against the software, not against a roadmap. When one of these stops being true it moves off this page and onto the product, and nothing here is a promise that it will. Anything you read on this site that contradicts this page is a mistake on the other page — please tell us.
